Sawyer Roque is an artist and journalist, telling stories for publications and brands through video, photography, and writing. Based in Brooklyn, New York, she has conducted projects worldwide, from Lima, Peru to Chiang Mai, Thailand and across the United States. Her work often centers culture, community, and women’s health.
Sawyer graduated from Western Kentucky University, where she studied photojournalism. She is a member of the Video Consortium and an affiliate member of the Documentary Cinematographers Alliance.
Sawyer’s services include video directing and producing; editorial, lifestyle, news, and portrait photography; and cinematography. She works as a local in New York City and Louisville, Kentucky, and is currently a contract video producer and video journalist at The New York Times.
